Handling and staining precautions
Methylene blue is a strong dye. Contact with porous materials or skin can cause visible staining.
Prepare your workspace
- Work over a disposable liner or tray to protect counters and tables.
- Wear gloves to reduce skin and nail staining. Keep paper towels and a damp cloth nearby.
- Open and recap carefully to prevent drips and splashes.
Surfaces prone to staining
- Unfinished wood, grout, natural stone, unsealed concrete.
- Light colored plastics, silicone, and textured cases or keyboards.
- Fabrics, paper, cardboard, and other absorbent materials.
Surfaces easier to clean
- Non porous glass and glazed ceramic.
- Stainless steel and sealed laminates.
- Well sealed stone. Wipe promptly to avoid residual tint.
If a spill happens
- Blot gently with a dry paper towel. Avoid rubbing at first.
- Wipe with a damp cloth and mild dish soap. Repeat light passes.
- For glass or steel, follow with a standard glass cleaner if needed.
- For grout or textured plastics, use a soft brush with mild soap and water.
- For fabrics, blot and pre treat with liquid laundry detergent. Launder per garment care instructions.
Skin and nail staining
- Wash promptly with soap and water. Visible tint usually fades with normal washing.
- Avoid abrasive scrubbing that could irritate skin.
Keep out of reach of children. Follow the cautions that appear on the product label.
